体重を減らすことを目標にしたパーソナルジムに注意!

体重を短期間で大幅に減らすことを目標にした、パーソナルジムが多くオープンしているよね。
はっきり言って俺は否定的だよ。
特に「体重を落とす」ことを大きく目標に掲げたジムは特にな!

当然だけど全てのジムを否定しているわけじゃないよ。
高額な料金を払ったのに普通にリバウンドしたわ、という人を減らしたいだけだ。
ちゃんとしているジムはちゃんとしている。はず。

いつものように結論からまとめる

短期的な減量で、あなたにハートが弱いなら有効。
例えばだけど、3ヶ月後に結婚式があって、一人では頑張れる気がしない、とかね。

短期的という意味だが、俺の経験上、8割以上の人がリバウンドすると思う。
料金はピンキリだが、大抵は1人で調べながらやるのと比較して10倍~20倍はする。

つまり、すぐに痩せないといけない状況で、お金に余裕があればあり。
痩せた状態を維持するのは困難、ということだね。

パーソナルジムでは何が行われている?

  • 極端な糖質制限(食事のアドバイス)
  • そこそこのウェイトトレーニング
  • 料金は大抵高額
  • メールや電話も含めた、熱心な応援 ← 唯一の評価ポイント
  • トレーニングの設備は大抵、悪い

人は構造上、極端な糖質制限を継続できれば、ほぼ絶対に大幅に体重が減るんだ。
つまりウェイトトレーニングは極論、適当でもいい。
トレーナーは大抵がイケメンで、熱心にメールやLINEで応援してきて、継続が可能となる。

イケメン「糖質を制限しましょう♪頑張りましょう☆彡」←これで全て。

減らすべきは体脂肪、もしくはウエスト

体重を落とすことだけが目標なら、ハードなトレーニングも必要はない。
糖質の制限をしっかりさせて、応援すればいい。
初期は過剰な糖質によって体は浮腫んでいたため、体重が2kg~3kgほど一気に減ることが多い。

むむ!俺にもできそうな気がしたぞ!

俺はしつこく言うぞ!
体重は関係ない。大雑把な目安にしかならない。
見た目が大切なんだ、当たり前!

  • 体重が55kgでスタイルの良い女性
  • 体重が50kgでスタイルの悪い女性

さあどっちがスタイルが良いと思う?
スタイルの良い方に決まっているだろうがーーー!!
マジで早くこれに気づかないと、無駄なダイエットを延々することになるぞ!

まず筋肉は脂肪よりも1.2倍ほど重たい。
メリハリをつけるために筋肉をつけると体重は増える。
代謝も上は上がって体脂肪は減りやすい状態になる。
「体重を落とすこと」を一番の目標にしてしまうと、メリハリのある体が目指せなくなる。

しかし、まだまだ体重を減らすのが目標の人が多い。
看板に「体重が減らなかったら全額返金!」とか書いてあったら魅力に感じるに決まっている。
俺のおすすめするような謳い文句だとピンと来る人は少ないのだろうか。
ビジネスで考えると体重を減らそう、が正しい寂しい現状。

なぜそんなにリバウンドしやすくなるの?

一番の原因は、過酷な減量をすることによる精神的ストレスが一番大きい。
60日から90日ほどの気合の入った糖質制限を行って、体重は目標の-10kgを達成した。
その日の晩ご飯は何を食べる?
ほとんどの人はストレスに合わせて達成感も合わさって、暴飲暴食をするだろう。
そう、リバンドの原因は「食うから」だ。
これは本能的に行われるホメオタシスの作用。こちらの記事で書いたよ。

次に代謝の低下。
極端な糖質制限、適切ではない脂質の摂取、アスリートには遠く及ばないトレーニング量。
これらで代謝は大きく下がっているものと思われる。
前までと同じ量を食べているだけなのに、前よりも太っちゃうかもね。
蛇足だが、「同じ量を食べているだけなのに」という人は、上記のストレスによって無意識に食べている量が増えているように思うなあ。

最後に、心の支え、イケメントレーナーの消失だ。
しっかりと管理されているから食べるわけにはいかない。と、いうのがなくなる。
つまり「食う」

まとめ

  • 体重を減らすことを第一の目標にしたジムには注意
  • 減らすべきはウエスト もしくは体脂肪
  • お金持ちで、一時的な低体重でいいなら利用しよう

俺はジムにいるトレーナーだけど、「まぁそこそこスタイルがいい」くらいなら、ジムにすら行かなくても実現できるよ。
丁寧に食事や運動を調べて、継続できるならね。
信頼できる人のブログやYouTubeを見つけて、徹底的に真似をするのがいいよ。
有名人ではなく、コンテストで好成績を収めている人がいいね。
